Celebrating Black History Month with Mary Mahoney Professional Nurses Organization
We are pleased to announce that our Learning Moment for the month of February will feature current UW SoN student and President of the Mary Mahoney Professional Nurses Organization Keondra Rustan!
Keondra Rustan is a doctorate-prepared registered nurse with over 13 years of clinical experience in cardiac care, emergency medicine, intermediate care, and critical care. She has over 7 years of experience as an educator which includes academic teaching with the use of simulation and staff development in a clinical setting. She is certified as a nurse educator and healthcare simulation educator. Keondra has experience as an informaticist and Director of Nursing. She was a recipient of the Dr. C. June Strickland Distinguished Diversity & Transcultural Nursing Advocate Award. She serves passionately as a mentor who believes avidly in the power of mentorship, paying it forward, and looking for personal growth opportunities. She currently serves as President of the Mary Mahoney Professional Nurses Organization.
Learning Moments are a monthly virtual series, coordinated by the Office of DEI, and feature a guest speaker on a topic related to DEI. Click here to read about previous learning moments.
